Gabriella Cincotti

Gabriella Cincotti is Full Professor in Biomedical Engineering and Head of Photonics Lab in Roma Tre University, Rome, Italy. Her main research field is focused on to optical devices and sub-systems for bioimaging and spectroscopy. She has published more than 100 papers in scientific peer-reviewed journals, 200 international conference proceedings, and 50 invited papers (ORCID http://orcid.org/0000-0002-9139-1697).
In 2014 Gabriella has received the award of OSA Fellow for ‘significant contributions to the development of passive waveguide-based, optical devices and systems, for advanced optical communications systems.’ She is Senior member of the IEEE Photonics Society, and has been elected a member of the Board of Governors of the IEEE Photonics Society 2017-2020.
At the present, she serves as Deputy Editor of OSA Optica. In addition, she is member of the Technical and/or Program Committees of Photonics West, International Conference on Optical Communication Systems (OPTICS), Pacific Rim Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO-PR), Convegno Nazionale delle Tecnologie Fotoniche (FOTONICA), International Commission for Optics (ICO), and Advanced Photonics Congress (APC).
